Local Moving in Palm Desert & the Coachella Valley
Want a local mover who actually knows the desert? Dino's Moving is a licensed, insured Palm Desert outfit, and the entire job stays with our own people, nobody brokered and no app-hire crew that morning. One team answers for the work, and one flat written price covers it.
What makes it different
Out here the thing that shapes a move is rarely the boxes, it is the gate pass, the HOA window, the long resort driveway, and the afternoon heat. So we sort all of that up front and start early, and moving day turns into a non-event.
How to get ready
- Clear out and donate what you are not taking
- Number your boxes by room and flag the fragile ones
- Sort the gate pass, HOA window, or COI ahead
- Break down beds and empty drawers the night before
- Keep your papers, keys, and valuables with you
What shapes your price
- How much is coming and the home size
- Distance between valley cities
- Gated access, HOA rules, and any COI
- The day of the week and the season
- Packing and any specialty pieces

Questions We Hear a Lot
How much will my move cost?
It depends on how much you have and the access, but local moves start at $145/hr for two movers and a truck, with an itemized written estimate before we lift a thing. Ask for a flat cap and the signed number is the most you pay. Long-distance is quoted by weight and miles.
How do you handle moving in the desert heat?
We start early, most summer jobs are loaded before the worst of the afternoon. The crew stays hydrated, we keep the truck shaded where we can, and we wrap heat-sensitive things like candles, electronics, and artwork so a 110-degree day does no harm.
When does billing start?
When the crew begins at your door, and after the first hour we bill by the minute, so you never pay a rounded-up hour for a few minutes of work. We tell you the crew rate and how drive time works before we start.
My community is gated with an HOA. Can you deal with that?
All the time, it is most of the valley. Give us the gate and HOA details when you book and we handle the guard-gate list, the move-in window, and any COI or deposit the association wants, so nothing holds up the truck on the day.
I’m a seasonal resident. Can you help with a part-year move?
Absolutely. We move plenty of snowbirds in and out each season and work around your travel dates. Book early for the fall arrival and spring departure rushes, those weeks fill up fast out here.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
Of course. Move the date or cancel with at least 48 hours notice and the deposit is returned in full. Every term lives in your booking in plain writing, so nothing is left to guess.
